Keep in mind that Bitcoin, like all currencies, has a value which is only based on consensus. People agree that it represents a certain value, so it does. In reality your Bitcoin wallet contains only a bunch of zeros and ones, with no intrinsic value. Of course, the blockchain technology is nice. But it is not unique to Bitcoin. You can implement it for other currencies, too.

And regarding the greatness of millennials in terms of investment strategies: Fear of missing out is not the same thing as "getting it".
