There's a lot of truth in what you're saying. I see lots of articles here on Medium, written by so-called (self-proclaimed?) Data Scientists, who are really only applying automated tools without understanding what's under the hood. What they do has nothing to do with science. Even worse, this has become a business model. Companies sell AI-based data science tools, promising (in other words) that any idiot can use them.
