Yawn. I heard the same thing 20 years ago. At that time it wasn't AI, but "graphical programming", supposedly enabling any dummy user to drag and drop their programs instead of writing code.

You see, the tools might change, but they are still just that -- tools. Without someone who knows how to use them properly (a.k.a. developers), they are worthless.
